Perryman Shoemaker Breaks Ground at Cassidy School

Perryman Shoemaker participated in the groundbreaking at The School District of Philadelphia event for the new Lewis C. Cassidy Academics Plus school. We’re proud to be the construction manager for this $50 million education project.

The School District of Philadelphia will replace the existing demolished school with a new three-story Lewis C. Cassidy Academics Plus school. The new school will educate 570 students in grades K through 8.

The school will incorporate 21st-century learning environments including:

  • Collaborative hub areas
  • Flex labs
  • Instructional media center/library
  • Technology spaces
  • Full kitchen
  • Cafeteria
  • Gymnatorium
  • Outdoor play and learning areas

Other features include 20 standard classrooms, two music classrooms, an art room, three breakout rooms and three special education rooms.

The facility is designed for LEED Gold Level certification.
